Stamford Skydiving School
Once you graduate from one of the following USPA approved Stamford Skydiving School training programs, you will feel more secure and can skydive with the Stamford Skydiving network at a much cheaper rate. The following describes the two most advanced Stamford Skydiving School programs available around for new Stamford Skydiving students.
Stamford Skydiving School Level 1
Your Stamford Skydiving School training begins with an approximately 6 hour ground school to provide you with a basic orientation including: aircraft procedures, freefall body position, canopy control, landing, practice parachute deployment, and more. Two Stamford Skydiving School network certified jump masters will be assigned to you and will generally remain with you throughout your Stamford Skydiving School program. During the approximate 60 second time frame that you are in freefall, safety is greatly enhanced by direct in-air jump master supervision. And to add to your safety net of protocols, you will land with radio supervision.
Stamford Skydiving School Level 2, 3, & 4
During level 2, you will exit the plane with two Stamford Skydiving School network jump masters, and continue to learn the basic skills for body movement in flight.
With level 3, you exit the aircraft with two jump masters and continue to enhance your basic skills. As your Stamford Skydiving network jump masters judge that you have enhanced your abilities, your jump masters will release, but at all times be close by your side; you'll now experience the feel of acceleration on your first solo Stamford Skydiving School experience with Stamford skydiving.
Level four is here, and your more than halfway done with your certification training! As your skills continue to improve, you will be learning "Heading Control" with 90 degree turns and forward movement; this time will be with only one Stamford Skydiving network jump master.
Stamford Skydiving School Level 5, 6, & 7
During level 5, you will perform more controlled 360 degree turns and forward movement; one Stamford Skydiving School network jump master will help guide your lesson.
Level 6! Finally! Your second and last solo exit with one Stamford Skydiving network jump master close by your side. You will learn more advanced maneuvers as you dive out of the plane; demonstrating delta tracking (gliding across the sky), freefall flips and recovery from pre-planned unstable body positions are very important skills to learn in this level.
The last leg is the best! While no Stamford Skydiving School network jump master remains with you in freefall, you make a diving exit and demonstrate your newly acquired skydiving skills. Video is a great addition to have during this dive, but as with any jump, it is an optional extra.
